The seat occupancy mat is defective and the airbag indicator light is on?
The device simulates a permanent occupancy of the front passenger seat for the airbag control unit. This means that the front passenger airbag is activated in EVERY CASE in the event of a crash, even if nobody is sitting in the seat.
This module can also be fitted after seat conversions, such as sports seats from Recaro, König or Sparco, which have no seat occupancy.
Advantages:
The original seat occupancy mat is no longer available from Mercedes Benz!
